Sarasota Pineapple Drop Carnival

Enjoy a two-day carnival with rides, games and tasty fair food for the whole family, part of the annual Pineapple Drop Block Party on Dec. 31 featuring live music and DJs, a New Year's countdown and fireworks.

Event admission is free.

Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36" & taller), valid all day Tuesday and till 6 pm on Wednesday, are $37 on site ($35 cash) till 5 pm Wednesday, or online before 1 pm Tuesday for $29 each, 2/$55 or 4/$99.

Ride tickets, valid anytime, are available at the carnival and discounted online pre-sale for $45/50 tickets + 1 free ride. (Rides take multiple tickets each.)

Midway hours: 1-11 pm Tuesday and 1 pm-1 am Wednesday. Carnival guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 21+.

The New Year's Eve block party, hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants from 1 pm-1 am, features special offers at local eateries and entertainment on three stages including Naughty Girl, Chas Collins, Gas House Gorillas and SRQ Beats. The giant glowing pineapple drops at midnight at the intersection of Lemon Avenue and Main Street, followed by fireworks provided by Marina Jack.
