Ol Blues Eyes Meets The Velvet Fog
Continuing the celebration of Frank Sinatras 100th year, jazz vocalist Johnny Rogers joins forces with vocalist David Pruyn and the South Florida Jazz Orchestra. Music for this exciting season closer will include the jazz favorites of Frank Sinatra, nicknamed Ol Blue Eyes, and Mel Tormé, known as The Velvet Fog.
The South Florida Jazz Orchestra, led by Chuck Bergeron, is a modern Big Band comprised of some of the best Jazz musicians, studio musicians, and Jazz educators in the southeast who have performed and toured with many of the greatest artists in Jazz and Popular music.
Free Pre-Concert Talk and Wine Tasting. The Broward Center Arts Ambassador Lyn Farmer offers a pre-concert talk and wine tasting one hour prior to each classical performance, hosted in the Porter Riverview Ballroom. Engaging the Senses.
