Visionary maximalist composer Anna Meredith makes her Twin Cities debut with an evening of her “striking and smart” (The Guardian) electro-acoustic music performed by her band (clarinet, two cellos, electric guitar, tuba, drums, and electronics). Meredith’s compositions have been commissioned by top orchestras and chamber ensembles around the world, but her debut album, Varmints (2016), mixes and mashes classical, electronic pop, and indie rock into compositional experiments like few before her.
