This longstanding duet pairs two of the world’s great living rhythm specialists in an inspiring musical dialogue. Savion Glover revisits his partnership with drummer and 2012 NEA Jazz Master Jack DeJohnette, celebrated for work with Miles Davis’s Bitches Brew band, the Keith Jarrett Standards Trio, Charles Lloyd, the Gateway Trio with Dave Holland and John Abercrombie, and his own Special Edition project. DeJohnette currently leads a GRAMMY-winning trio with saxophonist Ravi Coltrane and bassist Matthew Garrison, and performs with Hudson, featuring John Scofield, John Medeski, and Larry Grenadier. Called “one of the finest living jazz drummers, a limber musical thinker and technical dynamo” by the Los Angeles Times, DeJohnette is the perfect rhythmic foil for Glover.
