EVENT INFORMATION

Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up will take place in the White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine, Springfield, MO 65807. Marathon Weekend races will have packet pick-up on the following dates and times:

Friday, November 3, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, November 4, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday, November 5, 6:00 - 6:45 AM- 5K ONLY; no other race will be allowed to pick up packets on Sunday
Personal packet pick-up with picture ID will be required. Spouses, family or friends may pick up a runner's packet with appropriate ID which includes a copy of the runner's picture ID, the runner's race confirmation email and a note from the runner granting permission for the packet to be picked up by whoever other than themselves. The Bass Pro Conservation Marathon is a great race for first-time competitors looking for an event with a great course and first class amenities. Runners and walkers from all around Missouri and the world will participate in the Bass Pro Conservation Marathon.

Participants will run on a couple of beautiful trails in addition to running through some historic and picturesque residential neighborhoods of Springfield. Participants will also run by the historic Route 66 as they move through the downtown area of Springfield and past Missouri State University.

People run or walk marathons for many reasons including honoring someone special in their lives, meeting personal goals, or striving for personal health and fitness. A marathon is a personal challenge like no other and whether this is your first or your 20th marathon, we want this experience to inspire you just like your efforts inspire others.

THE 2017 COHICK 13.1 HALF-MARATHON

The Maynard Cohick Half-Marathon is a gold-standard race and the perfect race for seasoned and beginner half-marathoners. The half-marathon distance appeals to runners and walkers looking for a challenge to fit their current fitness level and time constraints.

Participants in the half-marathon start at the same time as marathon and marathon-relay participants. Half-marathoners will break off from the marathoners at Holland Street; the routes connect again in downtown Springfield. Most half-marathoners will reach this area before the full-marathon participants reach downtown. Overall, the course is excellent in every way and it displays the beautiful Autumn foliage of the Ozarks. There are some rolling hills from miles two through five, but the course is mostly flat after mile five.

The News-Leader 5K (3.1 miles) is great for both runners and walkers who want to have some fun while achieving their fitness goals. This is a great race to do with family members and friends!

It shares the routes of the Bass Pro Conservation Marathon and the Cohick Half Marathon. Participants in the News-Leader 5K will complete their races before most of the half and full marathoners enter this part of the course. The route is mostly flat and takes runners through Springfield on gorgeous paths which are known for displaying beautiful Autumn foliage of the Ozarks during the Fall.

THE 2017 MERCY SUNSHINE MARATHON-RELAY

The Mercy Sunshine Marathon-Relay continues to appeal to families, friends, co-workers and organizations looking to build relationships and teamwork. The Mercy Sunshine Marathon-Relay divisions include: Men's Business, Women's Business, Coed Business, Family & Friends Men, Family & Friends Women, Family & Friends Coed, Organizational Challenge (social clubs, schools, not-for-profit groups), and the Battle of the Badges (law enforcement, medical personnel, fire fighters).

Relay teams are comprised of five members, running or walking a distance of either 3.10 miles, 6.2 miles or 7.5 miles in order to complete a full 26.2 marathon. The first and third team members will complete 10Ks, the second and fourth members each complete 5Ks and the final team member will complete a 12K, (10K, 5K, 10K, 5K, 12K)

BUSINESS - All runners must work for the business and have been employed there for a minimum of 2 months. Businesses can enter as many teams as they would like.

FAMILY & FRIENDS - Must have 5 team members that are all age 12 or older.

BATTLE OF THE BADGES - This category is open to police officers, fire fighters and emergency medical personnel. There will be an overall winner but no division winners.
