Bill Stevens of the Lee Boys occasionally assembles groups of his musicians friends from various regions of the musical universe to make beautiful and passionate music characterized by improvisation without boundaries. The group usually features Annalise Stalls on soprano saxophone, who is on her way to becoming one of the strongest new voices in jazz. Guitarist Scott Sawyer is also frequently in the lineup. The rhythm section is a rotating cast of the South East's finest, including Calvin Napper, Daniel Faust, Ivan Hampden, Jr., Clark Singleton, Dan Seriff, and sometimes is blessed to have Oteil Burbridge on bass. The group plays a mix of original tunes and creative interpretations of classic tunes from a plethora of genres.
