Michael Perry and guests present a staged adaptation of Perry's sometimes comic, sometimes heartbreaking bestselling memoir of life, death and hilarity from the perspective of a small town fire department. The show includes musical collaboration with Sean Carey (of S. Carey and Bon Iver).
Perry is a New York Times bestselling author, humorist and radio show host from New Auburn, Wisconsin. His bestselling memoirs include Truck: A Love Story, The Scavengers, The Jesus Cow, and Visiting Tom. He hosts Big Top's "Tent Show Radio," performs widely as a humorist, and tours with his band the Long Beds. Michael is a frequent guest with the Blue Canvas Orchestra at the Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua and on tour.
