Rob Zombie
Rob Zombie returns to Portsmouth Pavilion on Thursday, Oct. 5. This is Zombie’s third performance in Portsmouth. He played the venue in 2015 and opened the concert season in 2002. The concert starts at 8 p.m., and doors open at 7 p.m.
Zombie is a seven-time Grammy-nominated recording artist, having sold more than fifteen million albums worldwide to date. His substantial fan base in Hampton Roads always results in large crowds.
As a rock ‘n' roll icon and filmmaker with a unique vision, Zombie has a reputation for stretching the boundaries of both music and film. He is the voice of Ravager in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, revisiting his role in the first smash hit movie.
Zombie has achieved great solo artist success with several multi-platinum and gold albums.
Zombie is the only artist to experience unprecedented success in both music and film as the writer/director of six feature films. Zombie’s “Halloween,” released in 2007, earned the No. 1 spot at the box office in its opening weekend. In 2013, Rob Zombie released his fifth solo album, “Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor,” featuring the hit “Dead City Radio.” Zombie’s first concert film, “The Zombie Horror Picture Show” and his annual Great American Nightmare ultimate Halloween events successfully scare and entertain thousands of people.
