2016 Colorado Medieval Festival

The Colorado Medieval Festival will be June 3rd, 4th and 5th just west of Loveland in The Savage Woods with the landmark of the Devil’s Backbone as a breathtaking backdrop. 1750 Savage Road, Loveland, CO. Friday the festival will open at noon and close at 6pm. Saturday and Sunday will open at 10am and closing at 8pm.

The Colorado Medieval Festival is pleased to join forces with the Rocky Mountain Scottish Athletes Association to bring Loveland and all of Northern Colorado one of the season's earliest Highland Game Competitions of 2016.

Competition will consist of the following events: Open Stone, Braemar Stone, Heavy & Light Hammer, Heavy & Light Weight for Distance, Caber & Weight for Height, and Sheaf. Athletes must participate in all events to qualify for the overall awards. Aggregate ties will be broken with the Heavy Weight for Distance score.

June 3rd the festival will open with Loveland’s very own Wendy Woo will be playing two-45 minute sets during the day. The games will be June 4th and 5th. Loveland’s Harrington Arts Alliance will display their many talented actors as the street performers throughout the entire weekend.

The festival will have over 60 vendors for shopping. Buckhorn Brewers llc serving up our very own The Savage Woods Gruit made just for this festival!! Hunters Moon Meadery is coming with their award winning glorious meads made right here, in Northern Colorado!

Live entertainment from fairies to live steel to dancing. This is a family friendly event; kids are welcome and feel free to bring a camera.

The cost for the festival is $8 per person, children under 5 are free. Tickets are available on site as well as at https://on.spingo.com/l/the_colorado_medieval_festival.

1750 Savage Road is 2 miles west of Loveland, the 2nd right hand turn off of Glade Road. Look for the signs.

The organizers of the Colorado Medieval Festival also bring the Loveland community the Creepy Walk in the Woods (top rated haunted house in Colorado) as well as The Christmas Walk in the Woods.
